On a bi-monthly basis, Cloud Spectator analyzes the price of 20 different cloud providers. The calculations are based on selection of CPU cores, RAM, and hard disk, as well as a look into the data transfer costs. The pricing analysis takes into account purchases on an hourly, monthly, and yearly basis, and the discounts associated with each purchase duration. A summary of the results can be found here. The tests compare and analyze various aspects of the server, from overall performance to a deep dive into CPU, RAM, Disk, and Internal Network performance.
